The Winter's Tale, July 2022

Preparations are already under way for our 2022 production!    We have the dates and the venue booked -- we are delighted that we will be at Hatherop Castle once more and we are looking forward to welcoming you between Monday 25 and Saturday 30 July.

The production will be directed by Kate Raw.  Kate has worked as a creative practitioner for the past 13 years.  In theatre, she was Company Director of Foot in the Door Theatre from 2008 - 2017, and in 2018, worked with the Shakespeare Globe Centre, New Zealand, assisting with the Wellington Shakespeare Festival.  She has directed and acted in quite a few of the Bard's plays with various companies, including As You Like It, The Taming of the Shrew, Macbeth, Pericles, A Midsummer Night's Dream, The Tempest, Love's Labour's Lost, Much Ado About Nothing and, in July of this year, she played Hume in Jeanie O’Hare’s Queen Margaret, an adaptation of all three parts of Henry VI.  She cant wait to tackle The Winters Tale - a play of two very different halves!

We held two auditions in November.  If you could not attend either but would still like to be considered for a part, please do contact Kate.  Descriptions of all the characters and the audition pieces can be found here and an Audition Form can be downloaded here.
