Quenington Old Rectory
The Cotswold Arcadians' first production, in June 1991, was The Merry Wives of Windsor , and was set in period and directed by David Gaylor for what today seems an unbelievably small amount of money - of the order of £600. While exposing the follies of Middle England circa 1590 in a spirited way, we were able to throw Falstaff into a real river. Now, you don't get that at the National Theatre!
