Our AGM on 19 October was an evening to reflect on a most successful summer and to congratulate ourselves on a fantastic sell-out for the run of Macbeth. The Arcadians’ bank account is now more healthy and we can look forward to the next production with much confidence.

The RSC Open Stages project has clearly exceeded the wildest expectations of those that planned it. The Regional Showcase, when different amateur groups from our area could be asked to feature extracts from their recent productions on the stage of the Courtyard

Theatre in Stratford will take place on the weekend of 24/25 March 2012. Then in July one company from each of ten UK regions will be invited to perform their show in full in any one of the main Stratford theatres or in the gardens of the RST. It would be a fantastic coup for the Arcadians to be featured in any of these events – watch this space!

Finally, may I make a big plea for any member, who is able to display efficient organizing skills, to step forward for the role of Front of House manager. This vital position is open and the Committee is keen to make an appointment.
